Oh gosh, one more warm sunny week would ripen so many of my tomatoes. It would be great!

This is why we shouldn't be put in charge of the environment. We'd wreck every carefully-evolved ecosystem within six weeks. It would be the same thing as the Americanization of foodways -- all moderate reasonable climates everywhere.
