goat is amazing. at this point, we're only eating what of it we raise ourselves, but in the past we have gotten it from other farmers, usually trading for turkey. a lot of people around here raise goats, because they don't require grass, and can live on a huge variety of types of vegetation, and they're heat-hardy. lots of originally-African goat breeds around here for that reason.
