My dad started and ran a seed company for a number of years, mostly focused on heirloom vegetables. "Preservation through propagation", but he also collected the stories that went with the seeds people sent him. It was a pretty important part of my upbringing and left me with a deep desire to work with the plants and the soil and to collect and nurture the rare varieties.

I'm so grateful to the people who do this important work, and I hope I can get back to contributing to it as well some day.
