Home.
I found a place. It's a pink house by Venables and Lillooet vaguely in the PNE sort of area. Not convvenient to transit. Has occasional smokers. Has only one bathroom.
Has washer-dryer. Has a garden. Has a big fishtank with a pleco the length of my forearm. Has three friendly gay men. Has a cat. Has hardwood flooring. My room is in a funny-shaped attic with high ceilings, it isn't huge. Has tons of storage. Has nice pictures on the walls and houseplants, like a huge bird-of-paradise. Has the feeling of somewhere permanent, of a home that's owned and loved. Has me, now.
This is kill-the-flowers day. So many people are carrying around the budding, just-fertile severed reproductive organs of plants. Can I carry a puppy's uterus around?
...didn't think so.
This is, incidentally, eight years and two weeks after I started dating Kynnin.
Piano music is playing right now. I miss my boy rats. I feel love.
Went to the Chinese New Years parade with my brother, his girlfriend, and Chris. It was very nice- we spent all day at the parade, at a restaurant afterwards, running out for bubble tea, and then watching a spectacular Korean movie called Sword in the Moon.
Trevor cancelled on me today, so I didn't go see Taiko drumming. I'm relieved. It means I found my place, and I can sleep and relax and stuff. It's been a long run.
Chris is on reading break this week. Gods, a week off! Amazing.
Lots of work lately, which is good given that it's moving month. I may even be able to do this without asking for help from mom.
I miss my boy rats.
I miss my home that isn't mine yet, though I have keys. I want very very badly to sleep there beneath that ceiling with my babies.
Tonight, I will sleep like a rock.
Tomorrow, I don't need to do anything! Except go home, chat with the boy rats, and be in the sunshine if there is sunshine. Despite the snow last night, it was a lovely day, though I worked for most of it.
I love the fact that I can work with the doors and windows open. Sunshine and fresh air.
I love you. Sleep well, and wake happy.
