Greatpoets: Shit Disturbers
Okay. Please, someone, get this poem.
F.J. Bergmann
An Apology
Forgive me
for backing over
and smashing
your red wheelbarrow.
It was raining
and the rear wiper
does not work on
my new plum-colored SUV.
I am also sorry
about the white
chickens.

Trying to "get" the poem
(Anonymous) 2005-03-27 03:26 pm (UTC)(link)A clueless person in ridiculous SUV destroys a simple and truly profound scene as portrayed by William Carlos Williams in "So Much Depends Upon".
The stuff you pull from Greatpoets is always good, thanks!

Re: Trying to "get" the poem
:D
I didn't know how many people were familiar with the original, and wanted to share my delight in this one.
no subject
But post modernism sux in general...:P
I like this one, cause its true of life. If you have a nice garden, your neighbor's dog will come shit in it.
There's always some loser with an SUV destroying someone's totally kitch memorabilia.
