Mass Confusion

Alright. So:

Neurologist's appointment was supposed to be today. Was cancelled, put over to tomottor. Now it turns out that the neurologist may be out of town until the 11th.

Since it's unlikely I'll get a neurologist's appointment until the 11th, and I can't wait like this that long, we're trying to go through a family doctor instead of the emergency ward system. See how that works.

If that doesn't work, possibility of going back to the emergency ward and pestering until they do something?

I can't deal with this very well right now. Does anyone know how to work the medical system?

Still constantly dizzy/disoriented since Sat. morning, plus had bits of it the week before that. Want it to go away. Am not feeling very strong. Hate being dependent on people for everything (can you carry my soup downstairs? wash my dishes do my laundry buy my food? :P)

Yes, we can. When you need it, lean. When you are strong enough to do so again, be leaned on -- pay it forward :-) I know it's uncomfortable and inconvenient and awkward, but effort-wise and energy-wise it all works out in the end. Honest.

I just wish you could read. Damn, you must be so bored. Contemplating audio-books...

I doubt that is possible without considerable monetary lubrication (note: for this type of reference money=power=influence).

I am pretty sure you have a good crew of friends around you. Use them, that is what they want you to do. Part and parcel of friendship and on.

*hug*

Know what you want out of the system. ie: do you want: a diagnosis, a cure, a treatment (those two are not the same)
Be prepared to shop around.
Ask questions. Do research.

And, take care of yourself.
