Blood Day

Oh yeah, and blood day was yesterday.

Who knew that raspberry leaf tea (fresh leaves) was so good at ANNIHILATING menstrual cramps? The dried stuff works okay, but this is eerie. It also pumps up my fertility at the appropriate times, which is weird (yeah, you all wanted to hear about my cervical mucus, I know)

The sun is bleaching the green out of my hair at an alarming rate.

I think hearing about your cervical mucus would be more entertaining if you worked it into a song...

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let It Flow! Let It Flow! Let It Flow!

Um.... I knew that raspberry tea was good for that - I think I'm shocked that you didn't ;)

I guess I didn't pay attention while I was on depo, just ignored stuff like that. It took an herbalist telling me for it to sink in.

You really should vacation up here and tell me what else I'm missing. ;)

The more interesting question to me is WHY does it have such effect on menstrual cramps?

[identity profile] greenstorm.livejournal.com 2007-05-10 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Or conversely, why would caffeine, conventional dairy, stress, etc, have the reverse effect?

Well, I can tell you why stress would. You're talking cramps....stress makes muscles tense up, so that would make cramps (which are basically muscles tensing up anyway) more intense.
