one of my apartment neighbors has planted corn. i do love the way it looks when it's young; thick stalks, leaves wrapped around and ready to spread outward for the sun. you've got me wondering what cultivar it is they've got growing. either way i'm glad to see it. it's already the tallest, leafiest thing in the garden beds.
