So.
Thursday, hung out with Trevor in the evening. Did work for $$ Friday, which felt nice. Can't remember the evening. I'm tired right now, bear with me.
Saturday I woke up and was forcibly pulled into bed by my rats, who viciously snuggled with me for a number of hours. That was wonderful.
About 10:30 I went to the farmer's market at Trout Lake. This thing is fantastic. I did the rounds of stalls, bought some breakfast and tomato plants, and ran into Chris, Angus, Bishop-the-rat, and Tim. These people are all cool, and I kindasorta hung out with them (I was there alone, so I drifted into their space pretty often, but wasn't 'bound') a bunch, got a ton of hugs which was particularly wonderful, got a little chat-time with both Chris and Angus, which was pretty thrilling. Then I met Tillie and the Token Kid there, and we hung out a bit before proceeding (after dropping plants off) to Playland, which was free cause I have my pass.
With Token Kid we went on a bunch of rides, including the Scrambler, which I like better when I'm not on the outside (I have a bruise below my breast and another on my shoulder where Token Kid was centrifuged into me, his shoulder and head respectively, which doesn't bother me a bit, but Tillie's weight too was a bit much). We also went on the log ride and got *absolutely drenched* the second time around, when we were in a log with some early-teen boys who nervously asked if it was 'okay to touch me' (the seating is pretty intimite, I moved a bit so they didn't have to). I think the log ride makes you wetter when it's loaded more fully. Talked to Tillie through a mini golf game, shared a candy apple with Token Kid and Tillie (it took all three of us), felt kinda motherly-snuggly and got excellent conversation in.
Realised that the maple that Ellen gave me wasn't dead and gone forever, but that Tillie'd been taking care of it and it's so beautiful right now. Tillie says she'll likely give it back to me when she moves, this is very good.
Met up with Juggler, whose basement had flooded the night before-- in fact, he picked me up a block from my house, as I was walking back from Tillie's, and I showed him the amazing clematis yard (one block towards Hastings and one towards Renfrew from my house). Went to his place and got to rip up strips of carpet, which was immensely gratifying, and he did the lugging them around icky-stuff-oozing-from-them bit. Obligatory sex, bbq'd farmer's market burger for me, stumbling sleepily to bed, and that ends Saturday.
Sunday Juggler went in to work in the morning, so I got up, ate pineapple, POTTED UP MY TOMATOES, and we headed off. We were sidetracked by a financial discussion, which I dealt with really well, and which left us both (I think) feeling a lot better. I have really weird emotional baggage around finances, so this was nice. Called clients to line up the week.
I got home, played with rats, caught up on some mail stuff, ate food, defrosted the fridge, and then headed out back. Roommate and I cleared a bunch of space out there, we're a little over 1/3 of the way ready for a load of compost, which I'm gonna get delivered by the city. He says I can plant tomatoes in the front yard too, which means I'll be able to use up all the compost in the 'lasagna beds' PLUS I'll have room for more tomatoes. R0X0RZR0X0RZR0X0RZ (wow, that's hard to type).
Soon I will sleep. Very productive weekend, no?
