Listening to a podcast where someone is speaking about their dyspraxia, and how they did a ton of work on it when young (playing sports, playing the piano, all poorly and to improve their coordination) which let them be more functional as an adult.
Noteworthy:
He can do some things that many people with dyspraxia can't do because he practiced so much, but it comes at a cost: he gets tired doing those things more quickly and more completely than someone else would.
He's developed significant persistence; he was terrible at those things for so long, but they did help him out in the long run, so if something doesn't work the first time he tends to just keep at it.
He's not perfectionistic in the least, because the thing just needs to get done, and that's enough of a victory.
The podcast is neurodivergent moments with guest John Hastings.
