She's Alive.
Nov. 30th, 2004 08:31 amThe frost the other day didn't kill her. Yay!
Spent a bunch of time last night working on my shelves with the Juggler -- they look really cool. Found more pretty bits (oak, some birch plywood) in his shop that inspire me, so I might make more shelves beyond that too. The aluminum flashing inspires me further, but I'mm not sure how to work it in in a non-lethal manner. IT feels good to be doing this stuff again.
Sunday night I finally got down to mom's. She's looking tired, but has just learnt thst she has asthma and with the help of her inhaler is picking up the pace in running again. I got to hang out with her and my brother for a bit, then went to Stepho's with a bunch of my brother's friends and my mom (which isn't quite so weird as it may seem) as well as my brother's girlfriend. I got to tell stories about when my brother got a toilet plunger for his birthday (he was young, and they were taking the ones from the bathroom to use as ghostbuster guns). It's his birthday coming up on the sixth, come to think of it.
That felt really good to do. Felt good to see the Juggler, too. Last time I saw him he was totally stressed and really taut and tired, and last night he was a little more energetic, which was a relief as well as just nice to see in a loved one.
Kinda-almost learnt to splice an ethernet cable.
Chris is busy with final exams for a lot of this week, which gives me a bit of an incentive not to just run home after work, but instead to stay out in the cold, cruel winter world and interact with it. I got a heating pad from mom to replace him on those nights when I just can't warm up my feet myself. Does anyone else have those nights?
And stuff keeps on keepin' on. I'm starting to want to do more pictures -- Miravaz, do you read this and what is your schedule like? I also want to spend more time messing with things like routers and bike mechanics. Now is probably the time to look into Our Community Bikes.

That way I'm at least a little warm before I get into bed. The heating pad sounds like a good idea though, I don't have one, but I might try a magic bag.
