So the Juggler and TOW have gone back east to visit family, they left... well, plane hasn't left yet, but I left them to get into the cab under an hour ago.

It's only for a week, and they'll be in contact. I'm surprised at how... loving, I feel. I don't feel sad, or insecure, or worried, or fearful, or anything like that. I just love them both very much, and I'll be happy to have a week to do things in a little bit less complicatedly and I'll be happy to see them again when they come back. And that's that. :)

It's a quiet night here -- it wasn't out by the skytrain, but I guess that's what you get on a Friday night -- and I'm thinking I may plough through a book or two.

(The word 'plough' is such a frankly erotic word, especially in spring, isn't it?)

The one I'm on currently is called 'Hominids' by Robert Sawyer, and it's a bit irritating at the moment. The Other, Nature-Loving, Utopian society appears to exist simply because the Others are not human and so don't have our multitude of sins, but we'll see how far into the book that continues.

Tomorrow I do a clean at TOH to set it right for the return, and I visit my mom for awhile. If it's as nice as today was I think maybe we'll go for a walk on the seawall. It was really beautiful out today, not sunny but alive with potential. The bulbs were beginning to come up in the gardens, even though it didn't get much above five degrees celsius. A french canadian man approached me at the bus stop after work and we enthused together about the weather after the snow for awhile. It was nice.

I may have a new client soon, which is cool. I'm thinking I may want to advertise a little bit, we'll see how this settles in. I think everyone's in a slot now, so there won't be so much juggling of times and I'll have a clear idea how much I'm making per month. ;P

What else? Went to see an apartment, or rather a basement suite, the other day. Lovely place, but the rooms were just too small for me. When you're half underground, there needs to be a little floorspace. I plan to continue the apartment hunt slowly, because there are places nicer than this one and I wouldn't mind being in one of them.

I took a bath today, my second in a bunch of years. One wonderful thing about this apartment is the old, enamelled, footed bathtub that holds at least twice as much water as a modern one. That and the heat, and the windows...

The SO isn't as happy here as I am, I think. It's got the headspace that I find so important, literally tall ceilings as well as wide rooms, which is hard to find in our price range.

Made miso soup, used up the miso, visited the local bakery, may make a stir fry tomorrow. Yup, that's about it lately. A good life, and not particularly exciting in its particulars.

Take care. :)
