It's likely I also have a place to live as of March 1st. It's around Venables and Lakewood, so a couple of streets off Commercial Drive in the other direction from Kynnin. Beautiful neighborhood, actually, and I really like the space - the room's small, but the living space is all useable and sharing-friendly. They just need to check on the rat issue with the landlord.
There's a yard, and a kitchen with sunlight in it.
I also got some pictures taken by Ray the other night, and have plans to do more next Saturday. Looking forward to that - they're turning out better each time, and that makes me happy. I don't have them yet, he'll burn the CD for me soonish.
Got a couple of 'new' clients - one returned from awhile ago just for this month (thank goodness, it helps with the move expenses). One new weekly. It's weird, I really look forward to new clients, because I love taking a house that hasn't been cleaned in awhile and going through it. I actually enjoy this. It provides such a sense of accomplishment. Yay for work you like! With the cellphone and business license (to be got today) I'll be settled in really nicely with that, I think. The new place has no washer/dryer, but I can do it at Chris' across the hall - there's a cheap in-building laundry there, and a snugglynice person across the hall. ;)
I did so much househunting last night. I left the house at noon, came back twice for fifteen minute periods (I couldn't get a hold of people, then would come back, get them, and go out for another house-look), and then went to Ray's straight from the last house-viewing. Good exercise - I actually did a ton of walking looking for signs too.
And of course, it's spring. There's a clematis armandii blooming outside Britannia school.
Need to think of storage options for my new room. It's smallish. I want to duplicate Ray's bed in some shape or form, which is a little bit raised on a frame of bolted-together 4x4s and 2x4s. That way I can slide trunks under it.
