Monosyllables are good.

Livejournal as a record: worked today, then hung out with mom in the new marina a bit. Looked at people gardening on the docks. Lusted after boats.

Livejournal as dreamspace: There was this 31' Criss Craft and some sailboats listed for sale. If I get on the waiting list now, I could worry about the money for the co-op shares in 3-5 years when I get to the top of it, and I could even wait till then to buy a boat. My greenhouse-raising is planned for next week sometime. You know, it might even be possible to meet someone who is both a girl *and* into kink? Wouldn't that be crazy. What shall I do with my community garden space by Commercial and Broadway?

Livejournal as human contact: my brother's looking for work for the summer. He's got some carpentry/joinery experience, but no certificate. He's done some warehousing. Anyone know anything mechanical/joinery-like?

Livejournal as reminder: boat card test tomorrow evening. Doc appointment in AM.

Livejournal as musing: I'm really feeling 'in love with' Juggler recently. It's probably because I've been spending a bunch of time with him. I mean, a -lot- of time with him, really. I found this morning, I was kind of feeling blank and empty, cause he wasn't around. I managed to regain my practical, I'll-like-it-when-I-see-him-next stance, but it was weird. Despite that, the whole thing feels really comfortable right now.

Livejournal as gardening: the phyllostachys nigra Henon bamboo I got fro the Plant Sale is shooting! In this tiny pot! It looks ridiculous! My old nigra, the non-Henon type, hasn't done so for a couple of years, what's with that? This is bamboo-shooting season!

Livejournal as arms: *hugs* Be well.

$1400. I can do that next year... couple months to save it. Am looking into http://www3.telus.net/permaculture/ which runs in BC in August, as well. It's a little shorter. Maybe cheaper?

There's also an all-summer one from Spiralfarm, $4500 all-inclusive for a couple of months, but that actually -is- a pipe dream in terms of affordability.
