A *very* full night's sleep with beans on the stove for chili and it definitely feels like fall. It rained last week, so today is a shorter workday than it's been for some time (it's my outdoor day, and I don't have to water!). I need to go swing on swingsets and crunch in leaves.

Definitely, the Kynnin thing was a classic case of 'Greenie's anticipation is more of a problem for her than the event' although not as badly as it could have been. My brain's better sorted now. The meeting left me sad and more determined than ever to keep on my current course. Live, without backsliding into waiting or holding patterns; that's important.

There's a permaculture potluck on Friday that I very much want to go to; it's also Mel's birthday party. I've definitely felt the lack of permaculture networking lately, with no real likeminded people to talk to. I'm going to work on that; I'll start by going to the potluck. I need to also nose around and meet people in other ways. okcupid.com is actually a resource that's allowed me to find some permaculture people in Vancouver, or coming to Vancouver, so that's pretty cool. Just gotta keep at it. It's so comfortable to come home, put in chili, cocoon with Bob, poke at the internet, fall asleep, and have that be the end of it. It definitely leaves a missing element in my life though.
