Should be comin home tomorrow for Spiderman 3 a la Kurrs (see his livejournal) at 10pm at the Rio. See you there!
Also: happy, tanned, making supendous meals off the land (I buy my meat-- can you say braised grassfed beef-heart bought from the woman who raised it, with fresh radishes, alfalfa, labs-quarters, and jerusalem artichokes cooked for two days and then eaten after a day of shovelling? How about ORGANIC PASTURE-FED PORK LIVER SAUSAGE bought from the same woman? Liver made otu of grass and not chemicals, amazing and safe to eat! Potato-garlic soup where all the ingredients except the salt were picked less than an hour before cooking? Nettle-lentil soup? Real good old-fashioned baked beans made with molasses, properly? I live on tge property so I have time to cook, and time to check on bread, put it in the oven when it's time, etc)
The birds here are amazing. All over, all the time. So many quail I can't believe it.
The garden is going, going, going. It rained yesterday for the first time since I've been here, all day. The soil's no longer powder or beach sand-- now it's lovely.
I'm lonely sometimes, happy always, but there are some great people here. Gabe keeps me sane. I have always been so blessed in my friends.
I'm moving up to a converted schoolbus from the house soon, I have a month to decorate. W00t!
