Here We Go.

Last night was the party at my place. It was a pretty awesome party as these things go: I danced a couple of layers off the bottom of my feet, there were good people, and lots of conversation. Rock band and karaoke were enjoyed, lots of jello shooters were downed, and there were always hordes of people standing in the kitchen chatting.

This morning the house is of course trashed, but maybe it's a little better than it was before we started cleaning for the party. No three-week-old dishes, any rate.

I personally had a bit of a rough night. I needed to be asleep before 4am, though, and it just wasn't happening here: there were too many good songs to dance to and I still have this reluctance to go to sleep. People were really sweet to me; that makes a lot of difference. Before the party I was crying a bit (yeah, something about letting go) and I got a contact lens stuck up under my eyelid-- just got it out this morning. Wasn't even sure it was in there, to be honest, it just felt kind of weird and the lend was gone, and then this morning it still felt weird and I was rubbing at the weird bit and out it came. The whole thing is kind of creepy really.

Now I have an awesome day lined up for me: to Piotr's to talk about designing his yard, then to ellen's to help her sink some fenceposts. After that I'm going to Bob's band, which is playing at the Purple Crab around 9pm, and you should come to that too! There is the chance I'll crash out early, of course, and some more sleep would be welcome. We'll see.

Not too much more to say here. Look at that sunshine out there! Go outside today, people, it's a sunny weekend!

Oh yeah, and blood day (I think).

Day spent gardening, first site analysis and planning with Piotr, then post-hole-digging and talking with Ellen. Wonderful. Just got home. Slightly sunburnt. I <3 Cedar rim nursery. Can't keep my eyes open a second longer.
