My boss from my previous job, also friend, sent me a land listing today. It's almost in town - closer than I am now, just 4km, and no highway in between. It has an artisian well that's 80GPM, fully fenced 127 acres with plenty of cross-fencing, enormous barn <10 years old, 1000sqft heated shop, no visible neighbours, creek in the northeast corner but otherwise pasture... basically an ideal setting. There's natural gas at least to the property line if not to the barn. There's no house on the property and satellite doesn't show me a sewage lagoon, I think it's a place that needs lagoons instead of fields.

"Wanna buy half" he says.

He's one of the few people I suspect I could share property with.

Meanwhile Tucker is working on what he wants out of future stuff, whether it's some form of property-sharing or cohabitation or whatnot.

I'm committing to myself to stay here through... the summer? To finish off the growing season here? That would let me start my garden planning, sort out what worked and what didn't, figure out when to put what in next year. The learning curve has been so steep, every year in the garden gets better so quickly and still my ambition exceeds my abilities.

Giving myself permission to plan for next year seems important.
