Morning And Stuff

greenstormOkay. So first:
Sweetie's incision actually *looks more healed* than it did yesterday. Whew. She sat on my lap for a bit today, and I snuggled Helen, and everything is good.
Second: first VanDusen day of the year for me today. It was fabulous. Out the door at 7:00am, worked outside until 4pm, and now I'm trying to gather the energy to make food.
Third: VanDusen is absolutely mindblowingly gorgeous. You would not believe it. The work they've done in the last twoyears had paid off. It's not been this beautiful since I started there. Rhodos, magnolias, and cherries are blooming right now, among other things. I need to borrow a camera and go there this weekend (Graham?). I need to get a dual membership with a gender-neutral name on the other card, and so I can bring people in with me, but of course not this month($$) (VanDusen memberships are cheap, thirty bucks for a person for a year).
Morning is pretty. Sun is warm. My face is mildly sunburned.

What: Potluck Picnic and Guerilla Bocce
How: Make/Buy/Steal some food or beverage (preferably organic or vegan), and maybe somethign to sit on. Go to Trout Lake Park. Walk around until you find us; we'll be wearing colourful things. Call Erin's cell phone (604-767-7534) if you get lost. If it's raining, come to the house.
Afterwards, we watch some Ten Commandments.
