Jul. 11th, 2006 08:08 amWent climbing yesterday. Man, I get three feet off the ground and adrenaline hits. It was good-- I did a lot of progress. It was weird -- man, is that like a couples trust-training exercise or what? You're on one end of a rope, and someone holds you dangling in the air and lowers you slowly and safely, or catches you if you fall (of course I didn't, I'm not fearless enough to take risks yet). Such heavy bondage overtones-- foot-wrapping, hip-harnass, snappy buckle things, knots, ropes that tug. fun. My hands feel from the inside like Trevor and Bob's do from the outside -- rough. Will do more.
Proud of myself-- self-knowledge and management gets me past annoying obstacles. Now to apply in all areas of life. Hah.
So late to work. Hah. Four hours of sleep multiple nights in a row makes me sloooooow. Early bedtime tonight. Also, cooking. Beth, wanna come for dinner?
