Some Things

My drum makes me very happy. It sounds perfect, better now that Megabeth broke it in a bit on Solstice. I like the deep sound from the middle *and* the outside ringing sound, I don't normally like the latter on djembes.

My pottery wheel also makes me happy.

My rats are amazingly well socialised, especially Angel, which is a joy to me.

I really enjoy spending time with the people I'm in relationships with; there's very little of the icky feeling that was a given on and off a couple of years ago, mixed in with the happiness and joy.

There is chicken soup and a big bowl of pasta sauce on the stove cooking, and the makings for pumpkin scones and japanese curry in the house. I'm like Moizissimo: when I'm money-lite, I cook up a pantry that'll last me till my next paycheck. My house smells good.

There may be mold in my house that's making my rats sick (their respiratory systems are more delicate than ours); the landlord will get an inspector in soon.

My two old girlies (well, my old girly and Eva00's old girly) go in for surgery on Tuesday, thus money shortage and some worry. Their sister died from the anaesthetic.

Last night I had some time off cleaning and running around doing things. I watched a movie, played my fdrum, and it was amazing. Just think, a real weekend! Today, I have very little planned; I want to eat, and do more of the same sort of engaging in the amazing leisure activities that my home has to offer.

I have lots of awesome pictures of my rats: see my flickr account. This is mostly thanks to Juggler and his super-cool new SLR digital camera.

The first weekend in January, I will be working overnight Saturday, but I will be running around a shopping mall overnight pruning the trees. This satisfies my need for hooliganism and adds professional satisfaction to the mix. I love pruning; I understand the principles; I'm reasonably good at it. I am going to put before and after photos on my resume. It will be fun. They're thirty-foot trees.

The shift key on this keyboard appears to be working.

All the garbage has been taken out of the back covered porch area and put in the dumpster, and I can wash the floors today because they're all clear and swept. I love love love clean floors. I have Murphy's Oil Soap for it.

I found my japanese toe-slipper-things which make me happy.

I need to buy new jeans, but work will pay for them.

I am bleeding, not quite like a stuck pig, but heavily and reasonably so there's hope for a quick end to this period plus minimal messiness factor.

All-in-all, pretty good, hm?

Love ya.
