I am a bloodied mass of contradictions that has, nonetheless, been sometimes in sunlight. I am the silvered minnow of my mood in a shadowed pond, catching the light in blinding flashes.

I am no longer a well to be drawn upon; sunlight on my face obscures the depths which I might otherwise reach. Support? Blanket? Perhaps I might be those, real objects, not simply a lack of soil and rock down to the water table.

We want to hoot
And holler
We want to wallow
In the water
We want to shine on the lips of all mankind
We want to dine
Like no other...

A circus, a circus, young people cry in pain
Three rings drawn by withered limbs,
Three rings drawn by withered limbs are what remain,
Of a moment of joy sustained...

(for Breklor: John Millard and Happy Day, song is called something like Dutch Boys)

What, you say? You'd like something comprehensible?

*grin*

Matrix whicheverthenewoneis yesterday, which I really enjoyed. The other two irritated me, the first most and the second at least a little. They did too much philosophy/metaphysics stuff badly. I think that sort of thing requires a very different touch in a movie than a book, and it just was not given a light touch. This one, though, was just a pretty movie. Nothing sledgehammered in to interrupt my enjoyment by moralising or handing down The Nature Of The Universe or whatever.

I like pretty movies. I'm good at suspension of disbelief, where I'm not watching comercials. The fact that whatsisname the main guy could conduct all those fights in a long skirtlike garment without tripping or getting tangled didn't bbother me.

Now, did anyone else notice scenes from Superman and Nausicaa in there?

Having done the obligatory movie review, I want to say: I'm happy. Oh, look! I could have filled out the little mood thing in the lj, and the little music thing, and written about half as much. Ah, well. ;)

But, I'm happy. Things are more good, or less good, and there are rough bits and all that, but I feel like a good whole person who'll come through it. That's the word, I think: whole. Integral: 2: constituting the undiminished entirety; lacking nothing essential especially not damaged.

Lacking nothing, or at least: having enough, lacking enough that I have things to try for and look forward to. Structurally sound. Undiminished.

Not perfect, not flawless, but undiminished.
