Re: poly and monogamy, someone summed up something I'd been thinking for awhile about being proactive about not noticing other people as a way to monogamy as opposed to trying to cut things off at some arbitrary point along the blossoming of interest, it's best to nip it in the bud. Note I haven't tried it, but it would seem to be the way to do it.

Totally different topic but very important: I visited Eva today and she made me watch a movie called Hairspray. It's a musical with John Travolta in a fatsuit (which may be how you've heard of it). It's also a super-fantastic feel-good movie that gave me the shivers. Queen Latifah remains one of the hottest people on the planet, and John Travolta retains his super-sexiness even crossdressing under all that suit. I would totally have fainted if I were on that set. I want to see the movie again, and I will. Z0MG! Who knew?

Well, Eva, clearly. I may have had an inkling, although I guess I wouldn't have pegged you and the movie as a match.

I wish the fatsuit had been done better; there were a couple too many long loving shots of miles of shiny plastic. Probably my only complaint about the movie.
