Crazy that reading your journal substitutes for actual contact, but I've been super busy in the yard so there you go;) Do you know if the Pineapple Guava can go outside yet? I assume you're keeping yours in a pot due to location, but I had intended to put mine in the ground once I wasn't worried about temperature shocking a tranplant (I saw my breath this weekend). I'm getting different information on the 'net, and it also looks like cross-pollination is required for fruit.....
Miss you! If I didn't have this contagious disease I'd come visit.
Mine's been on my deck since day 1. I went to the Gardenworks in Burnaby and they have more pineapple guava seedlings (I read that too) along with 14 varieties of kiwi.
Doh! computer just crashed and I lost my post to you. I should be working, but am fantasizing about your ratatouille (what cheese was that - it tasted salty and nummy). Also thinking about all of my seedlings. I have Ildi currant tomato and Grandpa's Siberian Pepper specifically earmarked for you (1 - 1.5 foot plants). Let me know how you're doing for tomato space, as my father-in-law has not had luck with his seed starting and he would like some of my plants.
Hope you're feeling better soon - I'm out of town this weekend, but would still like to make that trip to Cedar Rim, and now, apparently Gardenworks :)
