There's snow in the city. This has been a bad winter for it, but the rains finally came last night and have, today, mostly washed it away. I hope that it won't freeze overnight. For all my complaints about how mad the unploughed, unshovelled city is right now, more freezing after this rain will not be fun.

An old friend named Trevor called me somewhat out of the blue yesterday. It was wonderful to talk with him for awhile. It's interesting to see how some of my reactions to people change over time, and how some of them stay the same. So few people resurface in my life for me to learn about how I react to that, but there are quite a few just now.

It feels good. I feel a distinct joy at having good people in my life, and one more is a terribly wonderful thing. I wonder if this is true reentery, or a passing-through? I wonder what it will look like?

I have many friends now, as well as lovers. I have always had, in the past, one best friend who is also my lover. I don't feel like a different person, perhaps more full and rounded, which is interesting to think about.

It was loud outside with the snow, amplifying every little sound into prominence. The rain is a noisy hush, white noise as soft as a pillow that wraps sounds into obscurity. I feel safer in the rain than in the snow. The world is back how it should be outside. Not everything in my life is perfect, which is no surprise to anyone, but right now I am not so very uncomfortable with it.

Take care.

Yup! This is something that reasonates as true with me as well. Having more people in this life to care for and be cared by in return is wonderful.
I find the rain time to be harsher , more mmmmmmm....penetrating and glaring I guess. Snow time for me is hush and softness.
Strange and not so that people have different takes on things.
Hugs to you!

It's certainly more wonderful, overall, than not. Although the average rises, I find that not only do the highs get higher but the lows also bottom out more deeply -- sometimes I feel stronger and more supported through them, though.

The hush and softness shows a lack of experience with those icy sidewalks. ;)

Care.

Sounds like you live somewhere in the Pacific Northwest...
I have a few friends.. While poly, I only have one lover currently..

As far as the snow.. I love visiting it in the mountains when I want to play in it.. I'm so glad the rain melted and warm weather came back and it went away pretty fast..

Yep. I'm up in Vancouver. You seem to be in Seattle, from your journal? It's interesting that we share a couple of communities there. :)

It really is lovely out there right now, with everything just starting to peek up. I saw a forsythia in bloom the other day, and the crocuses are showing, though not blooming yet.

I prefer to leave the mountains alone when they're snowy. As a gardener, I prefer to play in the mud. ;)

What's the name of your char on Firiona Vie, btw? I'd be interested in giving you a shout in-game if I ever see you around.
