So, here're the seeds we've got right now, some of which are in the ground, some of which are started in peat pots, and some of which are not planted at all yet:

Lettuce: merveilles de 4 saisons
Lettuce: mix (buttercrunch, grand rapids, prize head, romaine)

Also, I need to get seeds for:
Summer squash of some kind (pref. yellow crookneck or pattypan)

And some kind of melon

I need to get a sage plant and a thyme plant.

I'm interested in starting a garden this year. Is it to late? And what can I plant. I've never been in charge of a garden before. ... Just a lowly assitant. You know... pull that, water that, dig there, move that... he he

Not too late at all. Where are you planting? Do you want veggies, or flowers? Your yard is pretty shady, so were I you I'd stick a tomato plant two on the side of your back driveway or on your back steps, in REALLY BIG pots (10 gallon, if you can). It's a good way to start. To do anything in-ground, dig up the top inch or two of grass, dig up about one shovel's-depth of soil, put the grass in the hole, put the dirt back, and mix some manure into the soil. Then put in yer plants.

And... veggies. Should I just copy your list of of stuff or do you have any other suggestions for people who have no idea what they are doing?

Nonono, don't copy my list. It's experimental :)

What kinds of veggies do you want to eat? Carrots, peas, tomatoes, lettuce, broccoli, etc?

I'll start you a tomato transplant or two if you like, though. Apparently Early Cascade isn't bad here at all.
