Shopping Therapy
Jun. 17th, 2004 09:00 amI've had fun the last couple of days. Last night I hung out with _greenwitch_, first at the vanpoly meet and later here playing with my rats. We generally chatted and laughed and it was great. Then tonight... wait, bump everything back a day. Two nights ago, I hung out with _greenwitch_. Last night, I hung out with estrellada. We went out for cheap chinese and then to ...value village! Value village is a good source of daily humour. We piled the cart really high with neat stuff to try on and laughed at some of the less neat stuff and then only had time to try a little bit of it on before closing.
I am now the proud owner of the coolest rhinestone-and-silver-and-lace wedding dress ever, though! Muahahahaha! It's very pretty. It won't wrinkle. I just need a venue... and a veil.
Soon enough I'll be going to work, and then I'll be looking at a room that's for rent today. Anyone know of anything rat-friendly, on transit, and cheap where I could stay for awhile? :> I'm doing a lazy hunt, since I don't have any particular date to be out by and my finances are pretty tight (no, the wedding dress wasn't expensive ;).
There's some very high potential for drama from a little corner of my life right now which I'm hoping will prove to be nothing. Either way, I'm feeling pretty free and independent right now, which I am, a feeling which always accompanies the grief of a breakup. There've been two of those in the last two months, and I'm damned if I'm going to let that slow me down. Let's see if I can't use that rebound energy to push me right back out there.
Life goes on. I need to spend a day napping on the beach covered in sunscreen. I need sleep at night. Given those, I'm keeping up.

Date: 2004-06-17 02:54 pm (UTC)I'm a housecleaner by trade, ideally I'd love to find a place where I can do a weekly or every-second-week clean and knock the rent down a bit. How do you feel about that kind of thing?
Would you pets eat my rats? :>
Have I got a room for you!
Date: 2004-06-17 09:58 pm (UTC)It is a nice place, full of stuff. We have lots of tech toys and a wireless network running (if you are into that). We also have two vehicles and are always on our way somewhere. I am sure the occasional ride could be arranged to limit your bus times.
I suppose the biggest issue for us is how soon you would be able to move in and help with the rent. We NEED to do something soonish. The rent is kicking my ass every month and buying is on the horizon but not soon enough for me.
Email me at bioentropy@hotmail.com or call me at 841.8301 so we can work on the details.
