Okay. I have a fish. He's not at my house yet (the aquarium is set up waiting for him to arrive tomorrow) but he's very cool. I walked into Big Al's and looked at the bettas, as I do everywhere, and he came up to the edge of his bowl and tried to bite me a number of times. His name is Cockbite, which is British slang for backstabber, but if mom asks he's just 'Prettyfish'.
He's got a white body and dark irridescent multicoloured fins, with black flecks all over.
Our water Ph at the moment is around 6.8-7.
I may return tomorrow with another fish as well, the other of whom would be named Angel, if the fates so decree. That one is pure white, huge fins, with a hint of greenish blue in a crescent on the tailfin, and spunky but not to Cockbite's extent.
I look forward to watching them eat wiggly things.
Down/up note: my plants are here. They didn't get watered, and so we're going into emergency maintenance mode. I'm not sure the lemon, the avacado, or the diefenbachia will durvive. :( I feel like a terrible person. They would be killed off, and have been tortured, because what? I was busy? :P

A venus flytrap big enough to eat crickets? Wow.
