I've been getting really terrible spams lately to one of my email accounts, really 'stereotypical' amateurish badly worded stuff. The sort of stuff you see in internet spam parodies. But this one needs to be recorded for posterity, just the subject line:

Shatter Her Vagina with Your Monster Prick ngclc i wegatamia(sic)

I'm extremely amused. Extremely, extremely amused.

Oh, and on Otherspace I'm flying a dropship-type shuttle over interplanetary distances, rigged up with tons of extra fuel but still...

Wish me luck. Oh, and laugh. :)

Do you have a Newtonian-physics drive system?

Tons of fuel aren't needed; you can coast as far as you want as long as you've got escape velocity from your departure system and you don't get yanked off course by intervening gravity wells. Of course, it sure helps; the faster you go, the shorter it takes :)

But if you aren't busting lightspeed, you're gonna take years! You're mad, aren't you? Completely bonkers?

Sorry, I'm the guy who pissed off my Traveller (http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/traveller/) GM by calculating how to stop a giant cybernetic tank crawling across polar ice by carving a trench in the ice with our ship's lasers from orbit. Drop me into a hard SF game and I break out the scientific calculator. *shrug*

(Eventually I agreed to play a barbarian, Thoggumus of Galla-San, a warrior from a feral backwater world. I got to shoot things and hit things and once I even "stole" a pirate starship by breaking on board and killing the crew during takeoff. I didn't know how to fly it, but I did manage to eject the reactor core while I was looking for the radio. Then I got drunk, pulled on an EVA suit and went out and got it. Thoggumus may have balls, but after grappling with a semi-shielded ejected reactor core he should never use them for their designed purpose.)

Ohhhh, a story! I'll even ignore the spam component of this message for that.

Spam component? Which part do you consider spam? :)
