Staring into the sun

I use a laser to measure distances and heights of trees: hold it up to one eye and look through it, like a telescope, and it'll tell you a distance, calculate an angle, and tell a height. I keep my other eye closed when I use it, though many people do keep both eyes open for that kind of equipment (my eyes aren't great at sorting dominance so this doesn't work as well for me)

Seems like I sunburnt my eyelid this way at work today. Lightly, luckily.
