It's shaved. My head razorburns. I think the short setting on the buzzcutter is in my future, rather than more shaving.

Ok, that makes more sense. For a moment I thought that [livejournal.com profile] _locke had developed an allergy to human hair, and [livejournal.com profile] estrellada had, in a deperate move, shaved hers.

Shh, if you don't comment, no one will know.

Ow!

Razorburn on the head? Eyow! It's bad enough at the throat, I don't even want to know what it's like all over the skull. :>

It's not all over, luckily, just mostly around the bottom edge by/behind my ears.

Shaved bald, you mean? Wow. I did like it buzzed - from that posted pic. :) Razor burn, though. On your head. That's... ow.

Yep. Except that it's impossible to get it touch-smooth bald. :( Too much direction/nap. And I get five o'clock shadow real fast. ;)

That is sad. Did you use some form of shave cream?

I used the ultimate foamy foofy soap, but having taken it down to the skin, I notice the whole thing (texture, skin type, etc) is pretty close to, erm, sme other shaving I've done, where my skin also doesn't take kindly to it. I do have pretty reactive skin.

Sensitive

Final comment on this from me...in case you wanted to continue.

At first the skin on my head was very sensitive...although not as sensitive as what you seem to be indicating...but after a few weeks it became tougher.

You did it yourself?

The Juggler did. I might give it a couple more goes.

aiee no fun... for me, the razor burn eased up after a few years, but the hair growth never really slowed.

i think you'd look great with a short buzz. it's very easy to take care of as well... unless you're going for touchable smooth?

oh yah, best thing in the world for cutting down on razor burn is a long hot shower before hand. that's my 2 bits worth.

luck and good shaving to ya,
~hedge
