greenstormToday I've somehow dealt with booking medical appointments, having a financial and treatment discussion with a friend that directly impacts some stuff, and dealt with booking Avallu into the Vancouver vet for his surgery at the very beginning of September. Monday I need to take Whiskey into the vet at 6am to get his teeth done, then sleep in the car till he's done at 5 (super hoping it isn't too hot) and take him home.
It's despair even thinking about doing so much, but.
The next animals to go will be the two pigs, I guess. They're not expensive to feed but they're an extra thing. I wonder if I can find them a rescue? They don't deserve to be eaten after all this.
On the plus side I've done three canner loads of rooster so far, and have two more to do (the town is out of propane so the last set was finished indoors). That should help food costs over winter, especially if I stop with the veggies.
I'm going to have to cut more deeply than that over the next several months though. Internet is the most obvious, maybe sleeping in the truck when I go in to town and can't make it back the same day is the next most obvious.
