Two Realisations.
Sep. 1st, 2004 07:09 pmI had two realisations today.
1) I am impulsive. Don't laugh. I've always known that I make decisions quickly based on intuitive synthesis of the important facts (ie. don't clutter me with details, but I hadn't connected that to the word -impulsive- nor to the downside of that personality trait.
2) I am a storyteller. This doesn't mean I'm a writer, that I make plots, anything like that. It means that the way I look at the world is through stories. If someone asks me a question, I won't say yes or no. I won't ask for more information. I'll tell a story.

Impulsive Writers
Date: 2004-09-02 02:39 pm (UTC)As for storytelling, yeah, I tell stories rather than explain things to folks, but I think you're selling yourself short on the writer part. Verbal storytelling is very different from written storytelling and from what I've seen on Chia, you have written storytelling down pat. Now whether you want to publish is a whole 'nother wicket. But publication doesn't equate with 'writer' in my mind. It's a passion with story and a gift with words. And you've got both to the nines.

I mean the Burning of the Crossroads was exceptional stuff! As far as I could see you were juggling three chars at once? Plus all us chars in play? You have a keen touch for character development/motivation.
*chuckle*hug* But gardener, yes, you are definitely... I hope to pick up Gaia's Garden soon. Let's just say The Essential Neruda took its place at the bookstore last night... and I'll be looking for his complete love poems next - WOW! That man is one /hot/ writer.
