That's a bummer to have vocal things planned and your voice being out.

On a completely different note, I think we might be getting a rat pet! Our oldest wants a pet and the gal at the pet store gave us a run down last night on the pros/cons of hamsters vs the pros/cons of rats.

After meeting Carmel and the family, I'm hopeful for fun!

Oooooohhhh, that's cool. :) Did he warn you -- two rats, because they need to keep each other company if they're not going to follow you constantly in your pockets and stuff?

That really is very cool. Go with neutered males, if you can -- laid back, and they won't pee all over everything so much.
