I thought my voice was gone before, because it cracked and croaked and occasionally gave out.

Now, my voice is nonexistent. That's what I get for talking on it all day yesterday, I think. I -feel- better, though...?

More dreams last night -- the night before was an action-adventure dealie, where my plane crashed in the swamp and we needed to get out and get help before the leeches ate all the passengers. Last night involved photography, a neat place with a bunch of fountains, and the sucessful seduction of one of Chris' friends. It's funny, I don't enjoy hollywood-style plots very often, but even the tritest is nice and exciting in my dreams.

Lots of work this week.

Date with Juggler on Sunday, but he's car-less. I saw the coolest betta ever in Big Al's, orange with red splashes. I need to build something to house many bettas, so I can get ones like that at will. I also saw a bunch of pretty females at Rain Forest Pet Spectrum, on Hastings, but I just don't have the shelf space in my room right now for them. Upkeep isn't bad, water change twice a week and food is cheap, so I'm not saddling myself with more than I can deal with on that front. It takes a lot of bettas to equal rats. ;)

The girlies remain engaging and wonderful, I had them out for a bunch of hours last night. Caramel remains a brat. The other two retain their distinct personalities, Shoulderrat (Merlin) being inquisitive and gentle and nice, with Arthur being the scrappy underdog. I really should grab a fanny pack and bring Shoulder along with me. He'd be thrilled. Only problem: of course he can't come to work.

Scorpions seem to be really popular as pets lately, as my pet-store-hobby seems to be indicating. Give a Christmas gift! give a scorpion!

You keep saying Caramel is a brat, but you don't supply the reasoning behind that. Inquiring minds wanna know!

Oh, and take care of yourself!!!!

Caramel can get out of the cage -- he's still barely small enough to slip between the bars. When out, he 1) nests in my drawers if I leave them open, chewing on my shirts 2) nestys beside my computer, peeing on my bandana 3) nests in my plants, building domes of newspaper 4) chases the girls 5) tips over water glasses if I leave them out 6) visits me at night and tries to open my mouth 7) gets into my ramen noodles and 8) worries my landpeople. When you do something he doesn't like, he screams loudly, even if he isn't hurt, just to draw sympathy.

Heeheehee I laughed out loud when I read this - and I'm at work, so laughing is not supposed to happen ;) I can't believe he's still small enough to escape! It amuses me that he squeaks to gain sympathy (only cause it sounds funny - because I'm sure it's actually very annoying). And what does he do if he manages to get your mouth open???

Hope you regain the power of speech soon!

Actually, it's just cute, now that I know what he's doing. Such a brat.

And thank you.

Imagine a giant mutant scorpion-leech. Like a scorpion with a leech body that stings you into paralysis and then gorges on your blood.

That would be scary.

I am not sure it's as scary as my favourite Revelation monster, the Demon Locusts - locusts the size of horses, with human faces and scorpion tails... their poison drives the victim insane with pain, but does not kill.

Monsters you can't see are scarier.

Or monsters that keep flickering in and out of your field of vision, so you can't quite track them.
