Restaurant Request

Does anyone know of a comparatively cheap, good restaurant for cozy-friendly chatting? I'm looking specifically for something that serves either soup or curry. Usually for soup I go to Hons and do wonton or congee, but Hons is really loud and cafeteria-esque, and I haven't seen this friend in a couple of months. East Van/Downtown area would be cool, but anywhere really works.

Well...not really stalking... because I've never looked at your journal, but I was poring through The Man's friends and saw your post and thought I'd just send you a message.

Soup or something warm and yummy - East meets East or East meets West (?) can't remember the exact name.. probably East meets East, anyway, it's on the main drag of Kitsilano. It's got fantastic chai tea and lovely soups and great food.

Which The Man is this? :) If you're suggesting East is East, and have both Breklor and lazarus on your friends list, you could be comin at me from a number of directions. It's kind of neat, actually, like all my friends who don't know each other completing a circle in you.

Sorry *grin* The Man is how I refer to my boyfriend aka lazarus7. I've never actually met breklor in person.

The circle of friends through LJ and mundane-reality is pretty neat. I have met your roommates before (just once) when lazarus7 and T went to the Ministry Concert. He brought them back with him to my apartment to introduce them to me. It was very amusing as I had dressed up (http://www.realmsoft.com/goodgirl/Slave_Wench2.html) to entertain him. Ahem. *cheeky grin* I was already to serve tea and cookies but they had to go. Oh well. *smile*

Maybe we'll get a chance to meet in real-life at some point! *smile & wave*

Oops! Forgot - Yes - East is East. *grin* I'm at work (I take 911 calls for Burnaby RCMP) so I'm a little scattered in the wee hours of my first night shift this block.
