... a nervous parent. It was very, very hard to leave Caramel (you chew my stuff? well I'll CUT YOUR BALLS OFF) and Merlyn with the vet, and waiting for them to come out of the back was terrible, but they're home and okay right now. I'm home most of the week with them, as I need to keep them from eating their stitches off. They're played with the girlies a tiny bit, but mostly want to eat and sleep, which is good. I'm washing all surfaces in their cage once a day just in case that helps with infection. Their, um, shape isn't hugely altered, they still retain a sort of balanced silhouette, which is reassuring. I love them. They love my new vest, staying in between it and me when I was carrying them at the vet's, but they're not supposed to climb (a rat, is the vet insane?) for five days. So I've laddered up their cage and am keeping them off difficult surfaces.
Need to plant peas today.
