Tired and Slippery
Jan. 12th, 2005 04:54 pmI'm tired. I got to bed nice and early last night, but the house woke up and started playing music around 7 so I didn't manage to catch up on the last couple days. I've been busy, and I've been staying up late for various reasons - for roleplay, for talking, because there were people around and stuff going on. I'm starting to feel pretty dead.
The weather is not helping. I love that the sun today was intensified by the snow, but I am so angry at everyone who doesn't shovel their sidewalks. This means you. Because I take transit to private homes, I generally need to walk along sidewalks after I get off the bus. This has been a nightmare lately. I haven't hurt myself yet, but I do have eighty-year-old clients who have issues walking who need to buy groceries. Every time I almost slip, I imagine someone with a cane trying to get down the block. During the first day or two, when it was snowing constantly during work hours, sure, no one can keep up. When it hasn't snowed for days, though, and the snow is slowly compacting into ice? Gah.
On the highly positive side, a random person on livejournal wanted to get rid of some stuff, which included some makeup samples (for LARPing) and the three David Eddings books I hadn't yet read. She was kind enough to give them to me, meeting me downtown. That's pretty awesome. I have reading material now.
Life feels very weird, I think because of the sleep deprivation, although there may be some hormonal cycle stuff involved. Yay! I get to be icky-unhappy in a cycle, instead of all the time!
The LARP is a lot of fun lately. We did a huge marathon-type dealie on Sunday, I was expecting an hour or two but it went from noon-thirty to one am. Jeh. We covered three days of IC time, and I'm really looking forward to getting in a session before the next 'official' one. The group dynamics are starting to form, and they're rivetting. :)
It's getting to be alfredo sauce time of year. Need to source out the ingredients.
Mrp. Be well.
