I slept well, and my sleep was full of good dreams. They were sort of surreal - we were at a party on the street near my client's backyard, where the Juggler's recumbent bike was chained up. I unchained the recumbent bike, wanting to take it home with me, but then someone stole it when I wasn't looking. Everyone (a bunch of people from the party, some of whom I have met, mostly Chris' friends, and some people who don't exist but who were related to them in the dream, such as Angus' brother) hopped in a big van and went looking for it. There were plazas with fountains and such outside, very European, and there was a fair amount of snuggling. This sounds pretty weird, but it was a very happy dream, just full of people I like.

Last night I cut up a bunch of my beautiful glittery silver wire and the Juggler and I got out the acetylene torch to bead the ends. I not have twelve fake silver piercings, and a couple of fake copper ones because their was copper lying around (the copper ones are very orcish). It was fun fun fun, and we're gonna go through the rest of the silver wire next time, and I'm going to get some 18-gauge as well (this was some big 16-gauge). They price out to about 50 cents each to make for the 16 gauge ones, and they involve playing with a flame that you need to wear a visor-thingy to look at. I'm gonna end up with a lot of these.

In other news, the loft bed is coming out of my room this weekend. mThe little bed may also come out, so my bedroom will have only one bed in it! There will be room for shelving then, and I'll be able to set up my grow-lights and the rest of my betta tanks. Yay! Note to self: need timer for the lights.

This keyboard randomly inserts 'm's into the text. Weird.

I <3 polyamory, btw. I'm a lucky girl.

Now, relationship memes tend to make me pretty wary. They don't usually have space within them for the poly paradigm, for instance, and they're... well, pretty trite. I kinda wonder about this one, though. There are some accuracies, and some things that I'm afraid might be accurate. Doing it twice, I realise that they probably all have at least a paragraph that is accurate to me.

Memes in general remind me of the horoscope game. Take the horoscopes in the paper, cut them out, and black out the sign name on all of them. Then, let people try to choose 'theirs'. About half will apply, often more.

Memes are more interesting to me, though, because of the phraseology. I am a ---. I am a horse. I am a paper doll. I am the movie Titanic. I am a bungalow. I am Brad Pitt. I am a keyboard. That sort of totemism, taking on characteristics of a thing and self-defining that way (to the extent that those sort of statements are all some people post in livejournal) -- what a weird social trend it is, no? Or maybe it isn't weird in the unusual-over-history sense, but there's something mind-bending going on there when people are continuously asking little internet quizzes, 'who am I?.'

My meme response:

So, pondering doing the cellphone-and-cable-internet dealie (rather than landline-and-dialup, or any of the other stuff). I've noticed a bunch of 'cable-lite' packages, which don't seem to be too fast, but then, my major form of internet entertainment is text gaming. This is cool, cause some of them seem to be as low as twenty bucks a month.

Oddly, I can't find how much a residential phone line is anywhere on the telus website without actually going and signing up with personal info. Cellphone looks like it'd run me thirty-five bucks a month or so.
