So today was One Of Those Days. It was the day where I bounce the rent cheque (cash only from now on, suckas, I'm not organised enough to deal with things that may or may not go through a month or ten from now), forget my wallet at home, work even though it's supposed to be a day off though I'm working all weekend so it's not a real Friday, drop my water bottle and break it, tip over the watering machine which weighs three hundred and fifty pounds when full, empty the watering machine in a crowd of tourists so I can pick it up, find out the watering wand is broken, realise half an hour later that I'm bleeding, find powdery mildew on the begonias, get bit on the eyelid by Rain(!), realise I've been grinding my teeth again and that's why they hurt, bite my lip a jillion times because I'm distracted, and all that on not enough sleep.
On the other hand, I met up with April for lunch, and that's always nice; I just had a lapful of the two handsomest boy rats anywhere; my landlady is fabulously wonderful and reminded me to breathe, soon it will cool down enough to go running, I'm not working tomorrow until 10 or 10:30, I don't have to househunt, Gabe called and we may even talk at some point soon, I may get to see Juggler this evening, and Shambhala is coming up.
My house smells intensely of boy rat musk. Haha.
I'm losing the ability to crumple and hide when things hit. I tried it today -- I haven't allowed myself to try it for awhile -- and all I could manage was an hour in bed under the covers. Then it was on with life.
I'm hoping I start bleeding soon. That would be the most inconvenient thing evar for Shambhala, otherwise.
