It's Not Unusual...

greenstormHmm. When it's just a normal entry with no one specific thing to report these titles really degenerate.
So, what's been up? I've been not quite as busy as the long silence might indicate. What have I done since, er... whenever I last updated?
o Talked for a long time with a whole bunch of different people including TOW, the SO, and less with the Juggler (should be remedied, and will be, this weekend).
o Had sex with a woman for the first time.
o Gardened, and ate stuff from my garden.
o Read more of the cool book.
o Frittered away time uselessly on the internet.
o Answered a ton of email.
o Napped.
o Visited Butchart gardens and ooh'd and ahh'd.
o That's about it.
Not a lot of heavy-stress stuff, which is very good. Things seem (knock on wood) pretty calm, or when bad things happen the skills are developing to deal with it quickly. Lotd of relaxed being-myself going on, that's always good.
I've been thinking about a conversation I had with the Juggler a bit ago about drugs, where he said that doing drugs is messing with your brain chemistry, and I agree with that. Then I got to thinking this morning, so is starving yourself/messing with diet, and so is messing with getting enough sleep. Both of those, but especially going without food, seems to have some pretty serious, pretty consistent, and I think pretty well-documented effect on the way your brain functions. There's irritability, that weird focus coupled with a sort of obsession, just a bunch of stuff... I think because it's your body settling down into find-food mode and so you get a little less 'human' for a bit.
I'll tell you about the garden at some point. It's pretty fantastic right now here at TOH... all the roses, almost, are blooming.

I am awaiting my gorgeous Asian and tanned-exotic-but-non-threatening roomate to come home to we can have an evening of pillowfights, communal showers and nipple rubbing. Our evening, while full of giggles and suggestive glances at the many phallic objects d'art that fill the spacious, leather-filled apartment that 3 co-eds can afford, would not be complete, of course, without your company....
