What A Wonderful Weekend
Jun. 12th, 2005 11:15 pmMmmmmr! Friday was a night to myself. That was nice. Saturday morning I lazed around, it was dark and icky outside. I was going to go to the farmer's market in the AM, but I kept waiting for it to get sunny, and it never really did. I played with my beautiful baby rats, who love me very much, and then went out with Juggler and Mouse fish-shopping and tool-shopping.
I did not get my circlular saw yet, because the one I wanted was ouit of stock.
It was a weird day, Saturday, full of big Iowa-style cloudbursts and quick passing flshes of bright hot sun. I met up with Devon, and we hung out and ate sushi, browsed through Little Sisters, and browsed through T (a tea shop which has bottles of each tea to smell). Little Sisters was fantastic, I bought eight buttons for my vest. They say:
If you're happy and you know it, drop your pants.
My other boyfriend is way hotter.
Tie me up.
Make yourself useful and get naked.
When things look bad I just remember that I've got a real big dick and things seem better.
Just do me (nike swoosh).
Back off I'm a nympho Lesbo Killer Whore.
Queen of Fucking Everything.
These buttons make me happy. I almost, but didn't quite, get a guide to porn (I have trouble finding stuff I like) and a nice padded rainbow choke-collar with leash (no one to use it with right now, and I can go back and get it later). Devon's company is lovely; you know how sometimes you meet someone and you realise, suddenly, how much you've missed talking *this way* with someone all your life? I feel very at-ease with her, and it's good.
She was tired, doing night shift, and had to run off to nap and work, so I was left with a burning craving for chai (automatically, I type Chia, have to fix). Called Juggler, who was free, and we scooped some chai and went to his place. I made it really strong, and it was good.
It'd been a bit since I'd hung out with him alone, so there was a little weirdness at the beginning, but we had a spectacular night/morning such that I didn't eat till noon. Gods, I get spacy and icky when I don't eat, even if I know I am getting that way. I wish self-awareness *fixed* emotional fluctuations.
We planned out my greenhouse (I had some plans in my head, we drew everything up and made a shopping list), grabbed the wood, and took it, my brother, and my brother's girlfriend to Juggler's place to rip some boards. Then took the above to my place and assembled the greenhouse, and plasticked the roof. I hope th emedium plastic holds; if it all rips off I'll need to go to the thick stiff, which is on Juggler's greenhouse that we built last year and which has lasted a year and a bit now with no trouble. I still need to do some crossbracing on it, and plan to do that with Mom and brother's help (and hopefully Kynnin's, come for dinner?) tomorrow evening and do a big vat of chili for helpers + roommates. They make dinner for me sometimes; time to give back.
Then to Shabusen, to celebrate my brother getting his drivers' license. That place is just *fun* to eat at. Good time had by all, then my brother drove us all home. He's a good, smooth driver. S'good.
My roommate has chicken pox, which I've never had. My brothers had it once, three of them, and I never got it then. We'll see how this goes. I can't really afford to get sick before the folk fest.
Don't work tomorrow until noon. I should go in to the doctor's and see about this chicken pox thing. I have some families with young kids, and even if I don't have it I wanna make sure I don't carry it.
That song is still going through my head for several hours a day.
Love, will not fade away...
