So Silent.
Aug. 19th, 2005 10:45 pmMy keyboard is quiet lately. There's not much to say.
My piercing went without cleaning for 12 hours straight today, and started to stick just a little bit. This, at least, I remember from my ears. It's reassuring; I know it's growing. There's a *lot* more give on the bar now than there used to be-- as in, there's less swelling, the bar can be poked through much further than it could before.
My rats still recognise me, despite the fact that I'm never home. Got them a new water bottle. Sigh.
Everyone should remember that my little boat is being built next weekend, from the 25th to 2pm on the 28th. You are all, without exception, invited to come help build the boat-- it'll be at the wooden boat festival on Granville Island. If I don't know you, you're invited. If I only know you a little, come help and we'll chat and I'll get to know you better. If I know you well, I've likely asked you personally already, but remember to come, dammit.
:) Bring your kids.
Petcetera has a ton of different kinds of goldfish, including the ones I was looking for everywhere else but couldn't find. Of course Petcetera stuff isn't all the healthiest, and it sucks to do business with them, but likely that's where I'll end up getting the tankmate for my poor lonely one goldfish who swims to meet me whenever I enter the room. I think it wants to be petted.
Butoh dancers on Wreck Beach tomorrow and Sunday. I'm busy tomorrow, but who wants to go see them Sunday at noon? Anna_would, I'm thinking specifically of you, I dunno how often you read this so I should call you. Everyone else...?
The other day I prefaced a comment to Juggler with 'don't mind me, I'm deeply cynical, but...' and he got really happy. It made me think, there are some things I really am very cynical about, and some things I'm really not. Anyhow.
Talked with mom for a bunch of hours today about a ton of stuff, including my family-- my biological dad, for instance, and his branch of the family (from Hungary, the family name Bartfay), and having kids, and appearance vs health, and just stuff. It was good. Her birthday is tomorrow. We're trying to get her a saxophone. Damn, they're expensive.
I'm trying real hard to find pink tool dip. I know it exists. Please help? All you internet-junkies can find an online store for me, right?

I only saw the flyer when I was down there last week with the kids. I started frantically trying to organize in my head how to do it, then saw the registration deadline. : (
I would love to come by and help. How late does it go on thursday and friday? when will you start on Sat/sunday? Curious minds want to know to make PLANS.
