Let it Roll, Baby, Roll...
Jul. 25th, 2003 03:18 pmSo, music:
Don't it make you sad to know that life is more than who you are?
No, it doesn't.
But regardless, here it is. This is what I was created for, it's the most fitting function to which I can put myself. It's, if you like, what I'm supposed to do. I'll forget it, like I'm supposed to, in the sea of faces facing towards the stage that's so empty, waiting for one person to step out and start it...
I'll have the courage, or the Tai Chi guy will, or some children will start, and then I'll be up there and I'll belong. The SO will be there, the Juggler will be there tomorrow, TOW will be there the whole time... and although they'll be distant, physically, they'll have a chance to experience what I'm supposed to be... what I am, I guess.
They probably won't understand anything about it, understand how the muscle expands and contracts and there's the sky with the sunset and the stars and the dew beginning to fall and the music and they're playing the music, real people with faces and you can smile and breathe and sweat and that's just what life is. But there's a chance they'll catch a shadow of it, understand seeing that how the rest of this tangled weave is so foreign even when I'm ost at home in it, how it's an adaption of a skill to a foreign environment, dancing in ideas and activities and thoughts where I can't join with my environment any other way.
And they'll be there, when I'm being me, if nothing else. That means a whole, whole lot.
Love you. :)
