Ooookay.

Skip the birthday stuff for now; it was great, I got the coolest presents ever, and nice people loved me. I'll past-date a post for it someday, if I remember, since I hear one can do that.

Right now, the computer -- my computer, no one else's -- has just been moved to a corner of the livingroom. I'm typing this less than a foot away from my garden, through glass and blinds. It's my very own corner of the house, something I didn't have before, and I like it a lot.

It's kind of a weird night just now, but it's been a really great two days. I've spent a large portion of it roleplaying very, very steadily. I'm not just fulfilling my obligations to OS, I'm enjoying a real width of experience on there that I've been missing for a long time. I really love roleplaying. I forget that, sometimes.

So I got in five roleplays yesterday and I'm not sure what today would count as. One character was part of a major plot that shifted through several types of scenes, I had a bunch of commlink roleplays that weren't face-to-face, and I did a lot of spaceship flying which isn't exactly interactive-with-people roleplay.

I also had a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful roleplay with the Winged One in the aftermath of the particular event from that plot, giddy adrenaline-dissipating sleepy philosophical discussion roleplay. I love my characters.

I'm glad I've realised that I have this fetish for good RPers; it's good to know it for what it is and not let it get me in trouble anymore. I'm entertained to think of what would happen if I were let loose on an Otherspace convention...

I'm also nearly completely recovered from stuff, or perhaps that's just because it was very cool today. Both electrolyte solution and meat help. If I think back, my good periods in the first week were after I ate a bunch of meat. Interesting, hmmm? I guess it has the right electrolyte balance, or something.

I've repotted my fig trees, both Black Mission and the Desert King. I've never seen anything as pot-bound as the Black Mission. I'll need to do some serious work on the roots when it's dormant -- did you know that they actually -will- girdle the rootball? They'll grow around in a circle and then thicken up until you have these rings of wood. It's not quite that far yet, but I need to get hopping. Not until it's cooler, though.

I seem to be on a repotting kick. I need to change the jade plant's soil, and I'm thinking rather seriously of root-trimming and repotting at least half of my african violets -- all except the new ones. I need to repot TOW's three surviving leaves and attached pops into tiny plastic containers, I'd like to repot the spider plant which, hanging, serves as one wall of my 'office,' and the avacado needs repotting already.

It looks like I'll have a couple of weekends in complete solitude over here in the next two months, just a couple. I think I can deal with just a couple, and if they're scheduled in advance I'll enjoy them. Repotting will go in there, as will more RP and some plot-scheduling and some paprtwork to do with citizenship. Maybe some running -- TOW is inspiring me, although what I'd really like is to do some biking. I have a bike, at TOH. I should ask if they can get it in shape for me. (Are you reading this?)

Are you reading this?

I am -- not sure if Hubby reads LJ at all anymore.

Might be nice if you and he worked on it together someday. If that's not likely to happen, I can do it, but I don't want to make any promises as to *when* -- things are very busy these days what with house-buying, and I need to start up my 'business' too... eep. Yes, busy.
