I'm Alive...
Oct. 20th, 2005 09:40 pm...and it's pretty great.
Have I told you that my job has awesome plant-nut-only-type benefits? I get to take plants that are gonna be trashed (because in some areas the plants are turned over to make way for non-traumatised ones fairly regularly), nurse them back to health, and KEEP THEM.
I have a purple ti plant, cordyline "Firebrand".

Pretty, mmm?
My fish are happy, my rats are friendly, my bed has a warm spot. I had an overripe persimmon and it was as good as good sex, though shorter than much. I have a half-dozen gold kiwis and some chestnuts downstairs, among other things-- fruit in fall, it seems.
I'm in the middle of a good book.
I have about *fifty* tuberous begonia tubers from the best plants, mostly bright orange/fruity citrus blend ones. What shall I do with them all?
I am so so tired, and this weekend will be *busy*
It seems like no transit strike tomorrow, which is nice. I get to make money. I need money.
Had lots of good time with family and with Juggler. Hung out just a little with Graham yesterday. Good KMM recently. I like the people I'm surrounding myself with lately, which always helps make my life feel better to me.
I think my boss noticed my facial piercing today. I took off my glasses, polished them while I was talking to him, and later in the conversation he said, "oh, and I don't mind at all, but when you're in places clients can see you you should probably wear your glasses" and it took me a second to get it. I must have *the* most unobtrusive facial piercing ever.
I'm getting a bit sick, but it's good sick-- bit of a stuffy runny nose, touch of a fever, shake-off-able and not worrying or painful.
Love y'all.
