I Rock Teamaking, Part 2

So. Did yardwork at Juggler's today. You know, there's something to be said for the fact that I've set up a garden that only really needs twice-yearly maintenance and produces way more food than he can eat. Anyhow, played in dirt, it was fun. I also slept in like crazy. I didn't get home till 3am, so after my usual 7am wakeup I ate a bit, crashed again, and ended up asleep till noon.

But anyhow, when darkness fell, we wandered down to sweet cherubim and I made chai out of the herb bins. Fresh ginger root, fennel seeds, black cardamom (I would have preferred green, but they were out), cinnamon, licorice root, heavy on the black pepper, roiboos, a touch of peppermint for fun, a litre of organic milk-- it's upstairs right now, simmering away. I can't wait to see how it turns out. I have the feeling I'm forgetting something from the list, but oh, well. I notice most of the things in chai are heating herbs and digestive aids. That stuff really should raise your body temperature. Maybe that's why I like it?

I've been contemplating topping today as I gardened. I did it for the first time, somewhat hurriedly, last night. It was a alot of fun. I want to experiment sometime when there's more time-- Estry, that means we're setting a timer for halfway through next BIO/cirque and you're getting up there then. Sound good?

Anyhow, it was a first-experience for me, and I'm glad it's over, cause it means I can dive in with confidence now and stop being so damn apprehensive.

Considering that you mentioned cirque, I'm guessing that you're referring to the cirque de sade, so can I pick your brain? someone and I are planning to attend at the end of the month, but I'm wondering how similar it is to sin, and kinda tame, or is it closer to a BIO night, etc, much more orgy/public sex like so I can know what to expect. Also, wondering how extravagant/skanky the attire is, as I'm in the processs of constructing an outfit, and want to keep it in line with the feel....

There's never any public sex, at BIO or any of the other ones. Sex is just not legal in that sort of thing. So, I'm not sure what you mean about orgy feel?

But, there's a dancing space and a dungeon that are quite seperate. Genitals must be covered, as at Sin, if that's what you mean?

It's got a more kink-friendly feel than Sin, but the focus of the whole event is not on the kink as it is at BIO.

The costumes that night were all over the map. There were very sex-type, thong-and-lace-y ones, there were costume-y dress-up-y ones, there were regular fet gear, there were random fun stuff. Much more mixed in feel than either Sin or even BIO.

You can have sex at BIO. At the Carpenter's Hall they have a special room with three matresses for just that purpose.

Ah, having never been to a BIO event, i was just going with the impression that I'd gotten, which was no doubt largely based on my own assumptions. Orgy was probably the wrong word -- openness to sexual-related behaviour, perhaps, not necessarily sex itself? But you answered that for me, I think -- I get a much more playful tone at Sin, and was wondering if it was the same, but you described it for me:)

BIO's really more kink-focused than sex-focused, probably even moreso than Sin is in the public room. Well, likely very much moreso. Then again, I don't tend to link kink and fucking necessarily...

i'm definately planning to make it; the next tenants are to get our house the next day, so hopefully nothing unpredictably will pop up! I was initially worried about taking time out of preparing to move to finish off y costume, but since my sister just announced to me today that she's doing costumes for a burlesque show that's on the day we'd planned to recruit people to help us move, my guilt is much less.

I get the feeling, just from hearing people talk, that BIO is really much more for people to actually be kinky, while Sin is for when people who like to act kinky, if that makes sense when refering to a sexual proclivity that derives so much from acting.... There's crossover in the participants, to be sure, that's just the sense of the atmosphere at that time/location that I get, limited to only having been to one:) But hopefully that will change soon, if my nefarious machinations work out soon.... *insert evil yet good hearted laughter here*

I'd say that distinction is absolutely, totally, 100% on the nose.

I don't know that there's necessarily much acting involved in bio-style kink. Consensual pain scenes aren't rare. They're likely even the meat of the thing.
