I don't have to work tomorrow!

I am a super-ninja gardener! I speed-planted the lobby deck of the Pan so fast there's nothing left for me to do tomorrow! My bosses were impressed, and I am done, done, done for the weekend! Then I came home and gardened for another two hours for fun! Someone in a cubicle asked me, when I was watering his plant, where do you go on vacations, to some barren desert where there are no plants? I said, no, I garden on vacation, for fun! and I do! Hahahaha! And Juggler's garden is looking awesome, the chickpeas are up, I have sunchokes for Piotr as well as borage flowers (he'll love this). We chopped several cubic feet off the rosemary, slashed back the sorrel, examined baby strawberries, took some amelanchier cuttings experimentally, I dug up some buttercups, unstaked the pawpaws, made faces at the clematis which looks gorgeous, took a cutting of the monster-leaf sage, made kissy-faces at the peonies which are gonna bloom this year and are consequently covered in symbiotic ants, oohed and ahhed over the multi-blue clematis, ignored the blackspot on the roses cause they look okay otherwise, removed deadwood from the lavender, etc. This was so fun, and I am happy.

Tomorrow is CrazyChris' Vegan Pirate release party on Wreck. I'm so there, rain or shine. I'm bringing Piotr a basket of yummy flowers and some radishes and some sunchokes. You should come too.

So, yeah.

CHICKPEAS! Awesome. I've never seen them fresh, and would love to be able to do so. :)

Also, have you grown the pawpaws before? When I got my seeds (I need to find them so I can start the plant this winter) the lady said that they don't usually fruit in our climate, and it made me all sad.

No, haven't grown them before, but I'm told they'll work, and people do grow them here. These are hybrids, grafted.
