So many words want to come out that I don't know where to start. While I was gone, the borage in Juggler's yard grew flower stalks, the tomatoes tripled in volume, the weeds grew eight inches, the roses bloomed, the peonies bloomed, my tea plant doubled in volume, the squash took off, the clematis covered themselves in flowers, and god knows what else happened.

I packed up my tent in the corner of the meadow by the chestnut trees only about thirty hours ago, but it feels like it's been lifetimes. The course itself felt like a lifetime, impossible to see out of from the inside, like we'd been there forever and would never leave. There was a big 'we' created with the other campers, people who (of course) I've come to love very dearly -- some of whom even live in Vancouver or pass through here, at least kinda-sorta. There'll be more on them later.

I learned so much. I filled a hundred pages with notes without even noticing till I hit the end of the notebook. I touched soil in a half-dozen different farms, examined different systems, sheet-mulched and round-table-discussed and w3as lectured at by the likes of Don Gayton who has the sexiest brain anywhere. I made tea every morning from plants picked from the4 five acres I was camping on. I showered cold in the afternoons and got mosquito bites by the hundreds and a suntan that never burned. I was lonely and happy and over-socialed and there were campfires most nights where everyone made music together. I feel more at home in the world than I ever have before, and that will only continue. I met people my own age who have a sense of duty and responsibility, who are changing the world and doing things with their lives that benefit people other than themselves.

I am so tired. I stopped in Kelowna to see the vinyard lastr night, this would be the biggest organic vinyard in-- BC? Canada? --because some of the guys that run it were at the course with me. It's beautiful. I will be back there in the fall to help them work. CrazyChris, this is exciting stuff!

There will be a showing of a documentary soon at one of the Chris' places by my friend Lynda. You should come see it. Date TBA.

I think I'll crash at Juggler's tonight and try to get to work earlyearly tomorrow, which should leave me some afternoon time free. That means I can dry out the tent and hook up with the Monday Dinner/KMM crowd, then head over to Graham's for the night. Yeah.

I'm househunting now for serious. Commercial Drive area, maybe the Broadway corridor as far over as Main, anyone know of anything?

Ach, jumbled. More later. Love you guys. See you tomorrow night! (You *will* come to KMM, right? And maybe hit up the potluck right before? Cause I need to hug you all.)

Wheee. I'm back.

I love you too. I am relatively well, and I'd say show me a picture of this guy, but I'd suppose people don't bring cameras to permaculture affairs.

Sounds wonderful :)

My new gf and her partner are also into gardening in a big way and live on 2 acres in Richmond. We all talk about creating a farm together. Reading a bit about your journey up there creates a hunger for it even more!
