The police told me to put my shirt back on in Grandview Park in Van. Am I missing something, or are they wrong?

Perhaps he told you in the hopes that it wouldn't become a scene and you would just do as he told you? Perhaps if you had quoted the law he would have backed down? Perhaps it was instigated by someone complaining?

As far as I can remember from Grade 12 Law class it is still technically illegal, but then so is women wearing bathing suits that are'nt dresses (or something along those lines I don't quite recall) just noone enforces it. Unless something has changed since I was in highschool it is illegal but it may be one of those laws that they just can't be bothered getting rid of, you know, like how in York (England) it is still legal to shoot a Scotsman with your bow and arrow if he is within the city walls after dusk.

Review the Gwen Jacobs case

It seems that the laws themselves didn't change, but they became unenforceable in Ontario because Gwen Jacobs won her appeal in Ontario Provincial courts.

We may need a local hero like yourself to receive a fine and appeal it in the BC courts.
